Achievements & Portable Records

Let verified learning travel.

What it is

Institutional issuance, retained learner records, controlled presentations and recipient recognition connect achievements to their use.

How it works

Issue

Publish a precise signed achievement from an approved qualifying result under the institution’s authority.

Retain and present

Let the authorized person select the supported record and approve the exact recipient, purpose and release.

Verify and recognize

Check the delivered record and current status, then record the recipient’s own decision against its requirements.

How it connects

Learning & Assessment
Provides the source result behind the claim.
Family & Educational Authority
Establishes who can authorize the presentation.
Opportunities & Participation
Uses deliberate presentations in participation decisions.
OneVault
Expresses the wider architecture for protected, issuer-linked records and controlled reuse.

Why it matters

The learner can retain achievements from multiple responsible issuers. Possession of a credential does not expose all underlying schoolwork.

An institution’s statement can travel with the learner while the issuer remains responsible for its claim and the recipient for its acceptance decision.

Illustrative application

A learner applies to a supervised program.

The approved achievement is presented to a named recipient. That recipient decides whether it meets the program’s requirements; verification alone does not grant a place.

This capability belongs to the native EDCom education core. The wider district operating model connects additional IOE capabilities through configured workflows and interfaces.
